Hub actuator - does it cause noise?

Hey Scotty big fan,

I have a question regarding a hub actuator on a 2019 Ford F-150 with 60000. I’m getting a rattling noise every now and again and it used to happen in 2 wheel drive. Now whenever I turn the 4 wheel drive on and cut it hard to the left or the right the noise gets louder. I’m thinking the hub actuator is loosing vacuum causing grinding between my cv axle and hub. Do you think I could be right? I took it to the dealer where I have a warranty but I got tired of them telling me and I quote, “if we can’t get it to make the noise it’s probably fine.” I’ll just fix it myself. I just wanted to pick your brain about it before hand.

thanks,

Evan
