2003 gmc yukon my truck is 2wd but my front hubs recently took a crap and I have 2 spare 4wd hubs for the same truck would they work or would they just fall apart when I put it all together?

It is a very complex job swapping those things out if you know a mechanic we can do it pay him but he'd have to be a top notch drive train man with all the special tools
