Problem only seems to appear after 45mph. I can feel a very subtle vibration when it happens. I checked the diff fluid by dipping my finger in the fill hole and there was a very small amount of glitter. Not sure how much driving i should be doing with it or what kind of components need to be replaced? any information is appreciated.
this is on a 2005 chevy avalanche

Well, unfortunately that's just a classic sign of your rear end is wearing out. Those things wear by thousands of an inch and you're not going to really notice anything. You'll hear the noise first. Eventually it will wear out. Need replacing. But sometimes they hum for years before they go out
