- My car is a 2009 Hyundai elantra. My car has this squeaky noise coming from the back end. I had the struts changed the bushels changed the wheels changed the brakes changed the rods changed and still I have this squeaking. I looked it up online and other Hyundai elantra owners have this sound too! But one one seems to know what the issue is. It sounds like my car is falling apart. But no matter what mechanics I bring my car to no one seems to be able to stop it. If you get into the trunk and drive down the road the noise is louder. Push the bumper up and down and the squeaky noise is very clear. Took everything out of my trunk and still got the squeaky noise. What could it be?
If you can push on the bumper and replicate the noise while the car is parked, it has to be something with your rear shocks/springs/bushings. Something is likely rubbing somewhere. I know you said you had it all replaced, but when you bounce a car like that there are very few parts that actually move.
A couple of options:
1. Have a friend gently push on it and bounce it while you are underneath to pinpoint the location of the noise.
2. There are tools you can by that can pinpoint different noises coming from the car. Just Google search "Scotty Kilmer How To Find Noises" and you'll get a great video from the man himself explaining the process.
I'm sorry your mechanics couldn't find it. Honestly they don't sound very good to me as in a shop environment with the right tools you can run down just about any noise. Best of luck to you!
If the struts are good, spray some AT205 on their rubber parts. It may help.
