I am seeing white smoke coming from my radiator when I am stopped at a red light. What does this mean?
You’re engine is over heating, have looked at the temperature gauge on your dashboard is going into the red zone. Don’t drive your car and have it towed to a reputable repair shop, before you do any serious engine damage. The white smoke is steam which is the coolant water mixture overheating and evaporations just like water kettle
This is NOT good! It means that the radiator isn't sufficiently cooling the engine. This could be because the cooling fans aren't working properly, or the radiator is clogged, at least in part, and fluid is not freely circulated. It might well be the fans aren't working, or working sufficiently, because more air moves through the engine bay when the car is moving. At idle, you really need those fans working.
You'll need to get this diagnosed, ASAP, if you want to save the engine. (BTW, the engine temp should have been rising, on the gauge, as well).
