Hello!

I would just like to start off by saying, I wish I would have found Scottys videos before buying a new GM product.

I bought a new 2020 buick encore Essence in March (waste of $30k). When I bought the car I was told it had a single recall that needed to be fixed. I drove from Nashville to Cincinnati to buy this car. When I got it back to Nashville I was told it needed 5 recalls fixed and the dealership couldn't report it sold to GM until they were. So I got those fixed. At 5k miles it started having lights coming on the dash and it had service power steering issues. It had them again at 10k miles. It now has 13k miles and the check engine light is on and it needs a new fuel pump. The fuel pump is on back order and they have no idea when they will get it. I've also had a nightmare experience with the dealer I bought it from. The weekend after I bought it in March I requested the extended warranty to be refunded and here we are in August and I'm still trying to get my money back so I can stop paying interest on it. The car also has done other things like lock both keys inside (I had fi call a lock Smith), sometimes the back up camera stops working, it's also had problems loosing fuel to fast and now it has a new recall. Before the fuel pump issue I was looking at selling the car. Now it's just sitting in the shop. If it keeps having issues am i entitled to my money back or will I just have to wait to sell it. At this point I don't think the issues are going to stop.

You might want to let Scotty look at this vehicle & give you his honest opinion on your further course of action. He’s in Clarksville, TN. Email him if you’d like to set up an appointment with your vehicle.

I'm not familiar with his email address. I was watching a new video where he's talking about a jeep with 70k miles needing a new fuel pump and what nots..

I can do one better lol! With my car only having 13k miles and needing excessive amounts of work

Write to him at scottykilmer@gmail.com and mention the subject as repair appointment Clarksville. All the best!

So the fuel pump went out and now the air conditioning is out at 15k miles...

Dang man that’s depressing especially for a new car I haven’t had any issues with my used ram and that’s saying a lot, but what Inthrustwetrust said shoot Scotty a email certainly wouldn’t hurt getting his insight on it, an I’m almost certain this is a case you could definitely win with lemon law I mean you have all these issues with a new car with now only 13k miles check your lemon law in Ohio cause that’s where you bought it, it’s a process but I highly doubt the dealership would buy it back from you because it’s been over the 30,60,90 day return period that they might have, I don’t know just my two cents on it but it’s a pain to go through lemon laws

Right now used cars are selling for crazy good prices, You may be able to come out pretty good if you decide to sell it.

I'm so sorry to hear of your disappointments. I would not buy a NEW CAR , due to the fact that many American manufactured vehicles are built by STUDENTS!

The buyers of new vehicles are Test Subjects! Manufacturers save thousands💰💱💲🤑 buy incorporating the tech skills of college engineering students. How do I know? I'm glad you asked. I have my degree in manufacturing engineering. I used to work as an Assistant to Plant Engineer for a ISO9000 company in Michigan.

I pray your victory over such a disappointment 🌹 KEEP THIS IN MIND FOR ALL FUTURE PURCHASES - Consumer Beware

This is only one example of why it's not a good idea to ever buy a new car.

There's a guy you might want to look up. He's an attorney specializing in lemon law, and does Youtube videos on that, among other topics. He might be able to refer you to somebody in your state. https://lehtoslaw.com/

Thanks everyone. I'll definitely look into the lemon law. It will fetch a reasonable price but its still waiting for the fuel pump (however long that will be). I just can't imagine passing the headache on though lol.
