I found a 1995 civic with only 50k miles for 6500 bucks.

Should I buy and is it worth it? I know 50k is low but this is an older car even though it’s in great quality. I just need a long lasting car and I know it’s a Honda and it will but I need reassurance. Thanks.

it's pretty old, so you can count on replacing a lot of stuff right off the bat, adding to the $6.5k which is already high.

Stick to OBD-II vehicles for ease of maintenance, and always get an inspection.

If you really like it, take it to an older Honda mechanic for pre sale inspection. He should know which components are prone to failure besides the parts that need changing now.  There are still parts that age and fail over time even if they aren't worn with use like rubber seals and plastics. Have him give you an estimate of parts and labor so you can make an informed decision.  You can also take that information to negotiate a lower price.
