I have 2005 Ford F150 5.4L 3v V8.
Is there a compatible engine for my Ford?

Ideally, you should be able to get the exact same engine from the exact same model year Ford, and you should be fine. However, they don't produce those engines from Ford anymore, so it's potluck that you can find another engine in a salvage yard or junkyard. Chances are, either the engine is bad and the owner junked it, or the frame rotted away, trucks don't just end up in junkyards.
