I have a 2007 Mazda 3 automatic transmission. The other night my car started up just fine had a few rattling sounds but drove fine. Went to drive it again and was on the freeway and all the sudden the noise came back and then the check engine light came on then it showed my car gears switching randomly and the my car started to lose power. I got off the exit and the car died and started smoking a little bit from under the hood and wouldn’t start again but when I turn the key the starter keeps spinning but doesn’t catch any ideas on what happened?
