Hello! I'm Daniel from barstow California. I bought this 2009 automatic chevy impala from a buddy of mine. It's been driving OK for a while I'd say at least 5 months but now when I put the gear in drive, it won't accelerate and it will even start to roll back. Sometimes it works but idk. I also hear I whining noise but I'm not sure could I get some help guys thank you!
how much on the odometer please?

is there any transmission fluid in it?
Maybe he isn't such a good buddy.

Sounds like a bad transmission. Being it to a quality transmission shop and see what they tell you.
