Hello! I have a 2006 Pontiac Vibe FWD Automatic. It is idling high. It is around 1200 rpms. I recently changed the blower motor and the last guy didn't do such a hot job. The electric box below the blower motor was hanging. So I put it back up. Since then the car has idled high. I tried to clean the MAF sensor and the Throttle. All new spark plugs (not pertaining to this issue). Could it be a bad MAF sensor? Or something to do with that electric box?
This car is new to me and I am making up for the previous owners lack of maintenance.
Thank you!!
Well when you turn the AC system on it is supposed to idle the engine up. So I would assume somehow they screwed up the wiring in that system and that it's now on the idle up setting as if the AC was turned on the whole time
Thanks Scotty, I'll look into it!!
