Hey Scott!
I was hoping you can help me out with a problem I have on a 2006 Mazda6 Speed 172XXX miles, oils got changed, fuses have been checked & ofcourse the battery is just fine only problem is that the car won't start at randomly times when I have to jiggle the keys aggressively at the right time or it happens at 1st try. I noticed once I fill the tank 1/2 way or even all the way, the car will have an even harder time to start up. Taking about almost 5 minutes to start this car. Pls help! 😅😪😪😪
do you hear anything? clicking when you attempt to set the key to start the car? also you mention gas volume affect that behavior that may describe fuel pump issues
Pressure test the fuel line first.Â
If you do not hear the fuel pump every time you turn the key, odds are that your ignition key has some issues. Check out this video from Scotty:
Thatâs one helluva battery!
Feel free to browse through the FAQ section of this website. Youâll find all the steps you need to diagnose a âcranks but wonât startâ issue.
In addition to checking the fuel pressure, Iâd also change the fuel filter (if equipped).
