I’m losing coolant from my reservoir

I bought a used toyota pickup 1994 with 157k miles back in April. Checked the frame, oil, spark plugs, coolant in radiator. Everything seemed okay until I came home and I noticed the reservoir was bone dry. No biggie, took it out, washed it, and added the appropriate coolant (between low and high). Just checked my fluids this morning out of curiosity and practically empty. Checked the engine and floor. No leaks. Checked the radiator and cap. Clean. Checked the oil. Clean. No smoke in newly installed muffler. Is this a cause for concern? Of course my first thought was the worst case scenario, blown head gasket.

look for crack in the reservoir, or leaks where the hoses attach. It could have drained out while you were driving.

Is the radiator full?

I’ll double check for cracks. Just cleaned it with soap and water when I got the truck. It’s almost 30 years old so i might have to replace it. The radiator is filled to the very top when I checked this morning on a cold engine.
