Hey Scotty,
Rumor control saz a car scanner will work on a modern motorcycle with correct adopter cable. Is this true?
I live over line in Ga mtns...lets ride (motorcycle)sometime. Thanks
Which model? Interesting rumor, but to my knowledge (and according to my Suzuki shop manual) what you can do is put the bike into "dealer mode" where it will put up one or more of a couple dozen malfunction codes on the instrument panel and one can then delve into fixing the source of the code. To do this, you need to either jump two of the terminals on a connector or buy one of the connector switches like these -

This is the case on Suzukis up until 2021. Hondas have their own dealer-diagnostic system, called SCS DLC.
Thanks-that's a safer way of troubleshooting them.
That website doesn't have an dealer mod cable for my bikes(2022)-probably next year they'll have one.
