- I have a 2005 Outback. Occasionally it’ll be running and then just die. It’s happened once while driving. It’ll die, and I’ll try to start it and it will either not start or take its time to start and then idle for a couple seconds and die. What type of issue is this? Battery? Spark Plugs?

does it run with starting fluid?

How old are the air and fuel filters? Is fuel pressure OK?
Air and fuel filters are relatively new, how would I check fuel pressure?
With a fuel pressure gauge hooked up to the fuel rail. You may be able to borrow a gauge from a parts store like AutoZone.
