The one thing that keeps bothering me is the research about this car regarding the recall for the valve springs and people saying to avoid the 2013 model. Also if ever buying one what are things to look for.
The FRS/BRZ/86 is pretty reliable for a sports car, and cheap & easy to fix when something breaks. But 2013 was the first model year, so the usual first-year bugs are expected. Plus it’s an 8 year old sports car that may have had a hard life.
I’d get a newer one if I had the budget. Manual is mandatory. If you have to get a 13, it will need a thorough inspection for sure (don’t cheap out and hope there’s nothing wrong).

I think he means 2013 Scion FRS
2013 had the most issues (engine-related) for the Scion FR-S.
