Scotty, what are the pros and cons to buying a 1 owner 225k mile 06' tundra. You said they were excellent trucks, but are they worth getting even with high mileage. (He didn't replace the timing belt since 110k miles btw).
Your questions answer will differ by price, what is the price?

What common problems result in high mileage?

Engine repairs and maintenance on those can get expensive and the guy probably is trying to get rid of it so he doesn't have to deal with replacing the timing belt and water pump.
Sign of poor service history, keep looking
the tundra doesn't need much service anyway.
No more or less than any other, but with those miles, look at running gear from ball joints, all bushings, universals, ac compressor, water pump, alternator, all wear out parts that can get expensive. 5500 would be a safe price,
There isn't any problems with high mileage. But this owner doesn't take care of the vehicle well.
Run! Way overpriced, $5k max and thats if it was taken care of. Also, why did he not replace the timing belt? Is it so hard...
it got sold so im not worried anymore
