Is Hybrid good if left alone for months or will the battery go bad?

Hi Scotty,

I have been in the market to buy a car, and since most of the used ones are priced same as new ones, I switched to buying a new one.

I have been thinking if Hybrid is a bad choice for me since I sometimes travel abroad (to my home country) and with the covid and lockdowns, I have been known to stay for 2 months outside.

Last time I got 2Amp battery maintainer charger for my car battery but I am not sure if by the same principle a Hybrid battery has a potential to go bad if I leave it without running for 2 months while working remote from a different country. Specially if it is in winter.

What do you suggest?

I recommend reading the manual. It suggests how to store a hybrid. Usually it is like more than 30 days, make sure to have the hybrid battery at 50% filled and disconnect the 12v battery. Maybe a battery tender would change that, not sure. But read the specific manual for the make and model.
