I like to leave it partially up so I don't have to pump it as much the next time I'm working on my car. Will this damage it?
Also, Scotty, I think it would be helpful if you could do a video on jack maintenance and maybe any other common tools that may require some maintenance.

You don't want to do that. When you are done with the jack you want to turn it to the left a little so that the valve is slightly open. You never want to leave them pumped up
