I have a 1995 Lexus ES300 w/249K mi. I've owned this vehicle about 10 yrs and absolutely love it! It's got little dents and dings all over it, and it's had its share of problems. At 207K mi in 2017, the engine went bad, so it now has a Camry engine w/approx 175K mi on it. In 2019, I got new tires. In 2020, I had to replace all the brake lines. Now the radiator has gone bad, and the valve cover gasket is leaking. My family and friends give me a hard time about why I haven't gotten rid of this vehicle. It isn't that I can't afford another vehicle, but I'm cheap! And I love this little car! In your opinion, is it time for me to just 'say goodbye' to my 26 yo Lexus?
Get another cheap ES300 (like Scotty) and use that for the next 10yrs..
Don’t sink anymore money into a 26yr old vehicle that will only start needing more attention as time goes on.

I would say it’s time to let it go, especially if you have to keep putting money into it to keep it running (like a money pit).
