Hey Scotty,
I recently acquired a 2001 Honda CR-V with a 5-speed manual AWD. The car has 220 thousand miles on it. One of my friends told me I can run it with premium fuel? Online, I've seen conflicting information about it. Is premium only better in the B20B jdm version of the engine, or can it also be added to the lower compression B20Z2 (which is what im pretty sure is the engine that is found in the USDM spec)?
you can put premium in any car but you'd be wasting your money
You may get better gas mileage if your engine built up too much carbon.
Besides that, it is just waste of money.
Some people will do it thinking they are giving their car a treat, but as stated it only costs you more. The best thing you can do? Check one of the apps and buy 100% gas without any ethanol. You can still buy it in the regular octane rating some places.
