I plan on getting a newer used car in the next few months and have been looking around. If I can't decide, I'll probably just get a good toyota or a lexus (If I can afford it lol) But I was curious. Thoughts on Subaru? I know they aren't known for head gasket problems anymore like they used to be, but are they decent now? Personally, I'm still not sure how I feel about their cvt transmissions yet, but I haven't heard anything about them yet. How are they like with the years 2019 and up?
You're probably OK with a Subaru that recent as long as it has low mileage. Their CVTs are not as bad as the horrid Jatco/Nissan units but not as good as Toyota or Honda. Their worst problem is that Subaru says not to change the CVT fluid (at least in the U.S. market) so most of them probably never have had that service done.
