If the answer is yes, how should I go about maintaining it?

The answer is that it has both direct injection and port injection, which means that it should just need normal oil changes, air filters, spark plugs etc. and not require any carbon removal from the intake system.

Glen is correct. Also, stick to 5,000 mile oil change intervals (and not the 10,000 mile Toyota recommends).
