for my first car I received the 2000 Chrysler Cirrus Lxi from a family member. The car has 100k miles on it , 2.5L V6 made my Mitsubishi, front wheel drive , 4 speed automatic. Scotty of course taught me to STAY AWAY from CHRYSLERS. but this car I couldn’t run away from ! It was gave me to me . I just want to know if the car is just another piece of unreliable Chrysler junk or is it actually a good reliable car that will last for me . Thank you .
@elijahj22
If it runs drive it, what do you want for a 20 year old Chrysler.....
That’s the thing lmao . As soon as I got it instantly had to get a new starter and had a blown fuse. I was wondering if this car was gonna be a useless money pit just like the rest of the Chrysler’s .... or a good starter car that won’t make me broke . That’s what I want from a 20 year old Chrysler .
Scotty also says, "What the heck, if it's free!" Just be sure to keep an eye on the oil, as those Mitsubishi engines were known to burn oil, and, you never know, you may get more miles than you expect from it.
Those were problem cars. But if I remember correctly, it won the JD Powers "initial quality" survey in its last year of production.
Lol. Who knows? Maybe you got a winner.
I have seen them with near 200,000 miles, but can't vouch those miles came without repair bills.
