People say that the Buick that comes with the 3800s such as the lesabre's and Lucerne come with Bulletproof engines. They are highly revered . Some even put them on the same level as Toyota's and Honda's.- especially when you don't want to pay Toyota and Honda prices. Yeah they may say that the engine lasts forever but what about the surrounding parts? Will you always have to pay for little Knicks and knacks to be repaired although the engine is so-called Bulletproof? Because that adds up quickly! My question to you is is the 2006 to 2008 Buick Lucerne that comes with the 3800 V6 engine as reliable as the Toyotas and Hondas? Or can they be money pits?
The engines themselves were generally reliable, but the automatic transmissions weren't great. The Big Three have never really produced reliable front-wheel-drive sedans, let alone an 18-20-year-old one. No domestic manufacturer produces a sedan anymore. Front-wheel-drive sedans were never the forte of the Big Three.

it's 16 to 18 years old. How it was maintained is far more relevant than any reputation it may have had.
By the way, @cheezyboy, you really need to ease up on the "should I buy this ____" and "is car ____ reliable?" etc posts.
I've reminded you before. Looking at your history, you have hundreds of posts like this. It seems like you're just cruising through for sale listings and posting everything you see.
You have been "shopping" for about 3 years now, and you still don't know if you want a car, SUV, or pickup. Pick ONE.
