Is the Lexus dealer feeding me a line?!

I recently purchased a 2017 Lexus NX from a family member who had the brakes/rotors done at the local Lexus dealer.   (51k)   I hear a "click" every time I back into my driveway, and every time I stop in stop and go traffic.   The dealer who did the work tells me it is brake pads sliding and it is normal as if they put them too tight it can cause other problems.   Is there any truth to this (I'm skeptical) and what can I tell them to get them to fix it right?   Thanks Scotty!   (PS: the brakes seem to work great, just click!)

yes it's a line. Don't go to dealerships for service.

I actually didn't go there, I'm just trying to hold them accountable for their work - any advice on what they might have done wrong to cause this? I just hate paying someone else to fix their mistake. Thanks.

I don't know what they did, but my brakes don't click , and neither do other cars on the road. There's no adjustment to make them tighter or looser. You simply install them correctly, or not. Or they're junk pads.

I'll try that approach! Thanks!
