Hi Scotty,
I just looked at a 2011 Toyota Camry LE with 80,000km (50,000 miles). It has an automatic transmission and a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine.
The car seems to be in really good shape for the age (no rust or obvious problems to me, I took it for a test drive and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary).
The woman selling it (private party) said it is her dad's car and that he no longer needs it. I will take it to my mechanic to inspect it tomorrow.
She is asking $13,500 CAD (9,900 USD)
Do you guys think this is a bad deal?
Thanks,
Emile
I have the same car. Mine has ~70K miles of all city driving (a lot rougher than highway mileage) and it's till going strong. Many later models (2012-2015) did have transmission issues but I've experienced no issues with mine.I just looked at a 2011 Toyota Camry LE with 80,000km (50,000 miles). Even at that full retail price, if you can verify the car's mileage and it passes your mechanic's inspection it will be a nice car.
If that's the real mileage, I would buy it if it's not rusted
