Hey, I was looking at a 2016 Toyota Camry xse with a v6 automatic, it only has 40k miles and no problems or cosmetic damage and the dealership is asking $22,000 for it. Do you think that is overpriced?
Way too overpriced.
Hella overpriced.
15-16k is the most I'd pay for it if it's in near perfect condition based on today's price. I sold my 2015 Fusion SE back in May. The dealership paid me 12k. They sold it to someone for 14k. It had a cracked front bumper, too. Toyota vehicles have more resell value.
Yes. A dealership, seriously?
I guess I am in the wrong business. Overpriced, but this is the current state of the market. Keep looking if you can.
Everything I ever want to buy is over priced.
I have several buddies who sell used cars at dealerships, they are having record years if that tells you anything/
According to Kelly Blue Book that car is priced at 20,000 to 22,000. At dealer prices
Last year, yes. Now, no. That price is about right in today’s market. You might find a better deal somewhere else, but don’t hold your breath.
Inflation and scarcity are the new normal.
