Hi Scotty. Just bought this '05 Corolla XRS with the Yamaha engine. It has 240K miles. Engine sounded fine when I got it. I changed the oil first thing and the engine started making noise. I also put in a low grade gas. There were metal flakes in the old oil. Here is a link to my Youtube video of it running. Thanks so much!

Metal in the oil is most likely from worn bearings. Catastrophic engine failure to follow.

Sounds like a rod bearing saying farewell, atleast on the phone.
