Scotty I have a 95 gmc 1500 with a 5.7 and 138,000 miles. Occasionally while at idle or just pulling away it will die. Restarts with no issue. Does this sporadically. What should I be looking for?

Sounds like fuel related. Check the fuel pressure and go from there.

Remove the fuel filter and blow through it. If it is clean it will offer very little resistance. If it is dirty it will offer a lot of resistance. If the later is the case, a fuel pump that has had to operate for a prolonged period of time under that condition, can be damaged.
