I have a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6L with an 8 speed ZF automatic. My Jeep has almost 60k miles and wanted to get the transmission fluid changed. The car seems to be jumping every once in a while, so figured it was time. I opened the owner’s manual maintenance page only to find nothing regarding transmission fluid change. Can this be true? I’m reading on forums Jeep claims the fluid is “good for life”?
I’ve had this Jeep for 5 years and plan to keep for at least another 5 years. Thanks for any help!

You should have changed the trans fluid and filter each 30,000 miles if you want it to really last. There is no lubricating fluid that is "good for life." It's a filthy lie.
Doc is correct. I would change the transmission fluid on those (drain and fill) no more than every 40,000 miles. See below for the procedure:
