My trans is slipping from 1st/2nd and its causeing the engine to rev high and jerk and it jerks as well when accelerating from a high speed when i have to put it neat the floor someone told me its the clutch going out but im not sure p.s. 2004 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 with a 42re trans 4wd with 125k
Did you scan for any codes?

Because it slips, drop one quart of the automatic transmission fluid and put in one quart of Lukas antislip transmission fluid. Try that first.

I forgot to mention the transmission was overfilled with fluid for a good while could that have caused the slipping to start at such low miles
