I have a 15 jeep wrangler with codes P06de & P06dd which refers to oil pressure. I replaced the sending unit. I dont have leaks, and I dont have tho oil light on the dash. My mechanic says its time for an oil pump and an oil pump solenoid. Car runs fine tho, I replace my oil every 5k kms even tho it can last up to 10k kms. Its got 200,000KMs. Any possible diagnosis to be sure its the oil pump or not ? Its a very involving job and i'm hesitated thanks.

Remove the sending unit, hook up a gauge and confirm from the reading if it’s good or bad.

I’ll have a different mechanic do that , thanks

Based on the link below there are several causes:  You already replaced the oil pressure sensor (with OEM I presume) so scratch that.   Assuming the other items check out fine, then it is looking like the oil pump, but just go through and check those links below to be sure.

  • Engine oil level low.
  • Incorrect engine oil filter.
  • Insufficient oil pressure due to a mechanical failure in the oiling system.
  • Engine mechanical failure.
  • Engine oil pressure sensor.
  • Dual stage oil pump.

Thanks, I had him replaced the dual stage oil pump, is that the oil pump?

I also bought the Launch Creader professional 123i, but don’t understand all the data so I guess I’ll have to research what data I need to reed and how to interpret such data, thank you again.
