Good afternoon Scotty
I have a 06 highlander 4 cylinder, I just got the catalytic converter replaced and just picked up the car from the mechanic. While on my way home driving on the freeway I was doing 75 mph perfectly fine and all of a sudden the car was started jerking and reduced speed to 55 mph. When I drive now if I take it slowly it works okay but if I press the gas to hard it starts jerking again especially once I get to 45 mph or higher, also car won’t go pass 60 mph.
I really need some help here to figure out what the issue can be especially since I’m not getting a check engine light.
Well if you use the crappy Cadillac converter it's clogging the whole thing up. Or and I seen this happen before if pieces of the catalytic converter came off they can jam into the muffler and the muffler being clogged up is no different than the cat being clogged up having pressure test the exhaust system first
Have you taken it back to the mechanic who replaced the catalytic converter?
