Scotty i have a 2003 Acura MDX Base i took to Jiffy Lube, they stripped my drain plug and put there temp in, it has what looks like a wing nut to tighten on the drain plug but now it is leaking just a little but leaking. Looks like it might of came out a little bit causing the leak. Was told because of the temp drain plug, i would have to get a new oil pan. Which the cheapest estimate including labor was $1,260.00 which i can't afford. Could you please tell me a way i can fix this cheaper. Thank You for your time. I know this is long winded.

they MUST fix it and they can get in serious trouble for sending you down the road like that. Contact the manager and corporate.

It sounds to me like they stripped the plug out and then put a helicoil in to try and repair it. You need a new pan and they should pay for it. I would also add that I hear this about quick lubes a TON. Do your own oil changes (peace of mind) or go to a full-service shop to have it done.
