Engine & transmission running decent however tranny shifts good going down the road but when engaging into gear there is a little lag and bump when moving from P to R or P to D.. Was thinking on taking it to a reputable transmission shop for a pan drop & fluid change. Your thoughts on that? Got it for $500. Thinking with good oil changes the engine will hopefully go to 300,000. But before I fix the cracked windshield & other small needed repairs (Clean up foggy headlights, Oil Change etc), I want to know the tranny is decently strong as I will be commuting to work with it.
it's worth a shot, but don't expect miracles.
Yea - I know - it doesn't really bother me cause I've had a ton of vehicles do it without them crapping out & I will definitely baby it, but if the tranny goes there is no way I'm putting another dime in it. Smaller stuff may be worth fixing.
Was checking all the fluids & notice a very nice clean Red tranny fluid. Looks like it's just been changed. Going to hold off on taking it to the tranny shop.
