Just bought a junkyard engine

Hi I just bought a junkyard engine it’s a 1988 ford 460 with 76566 miles the rv that it was in caught fire because of a cooking incident the engine isn’t burnt  but is definitely not in running condition what do I look at first I’ve already took the valve covers off nothing is sludgey or broken right now i know it needs a new carburetor but that’s all i know any help will be appreciated thank you

You might do a wet vs. dry compression test to get an idea of the engine's internal condition.

To me it looks as if the engine is not in a car, but on your shops floor (or in an engine hoist).

When it can be cranked, you could do the start-up-procedure as in those '##-year old abandoned Chevy rescued out of the forest' (Junkyard Digs e.g.) videos.
