Scotty,
I own a 2003 Toyota Sequoia Limited with 200k miles, 4.6L V8 without VVT all original, and a 1995 (2nd gen) 4Runner SR5 with 125000 miles on the rust-free body/auto trans and a brand new (completely rebuilt) 3.0 V6.
I got good deals on both of them, and am looking to sell one and keep one. Which one would you sell and which one would you keep?
Congrats on the new place!
J
Keep the Sequoia. I have a 2001 Sequoia and it is a solid built car. The only thing that's gone out on it in 160k miles is the alternator. At 200k miles, yours has half its life left.
The 4Runner is a great vehicle but I do not trust rebuilt engines. Who knows... I know the Sequoia will keep running. And I wonder, why would you need to rebuild a Toyota engine at 120k? Has it been ridden hard? You're going to have other issues with the 4Runner.
Make sure the engine was rebuilt by a professional.
If it was good, I would keep the 4runner. less expensive to maintain, better mpg,,...
Keep the Toyota unless you are looking for trouble in the waters that Toyota has got plenty of life left as long as you do cooling oil changes brake discs brake pads spark plug changes every couple thousand miles that Toyota can run to easily half million miles
@mg-zs
but both are Toyotas lol
