Hi Scotty, big fan from Houston, Texas! I have an 05 Chevrolet Silverado z71 4x4 with the 5.3. it has 221,000 on the dash still running strong. However I have the dreaded knock sensor problem. I just replaced them about 3 weeks ago and got the code again. Poor performance and just sluggish. So I ordered 2 new AC Delco sensors and harness. I was told that there are several locations on the engine where I could install them for a test period. The resistance of the Delco sensors is within range of what it should be. So would it be wise to relocate the sensors? I know they're very sensitive and heat wouldnt do them very good.

It can affect sensor's accuracy
