cel light came on. Had it checked. said 'knock sensors' need to be replaced. Cel is off, has not come back on. What is the status?????

That’s an intermittent code, if the car runs ok leave it alone.
if the light remains solid for a longer period of time, have it diagnosed.

I'm not aware of any diagnostic messages that say "replace sensor X". It'll usually say readings too high or something. What was the exact code and definition please?
