Knocking Noise - Front Left Wheel

Hi - I have a 2012 Honda Civic (1.8L Auto). 131k miles.

Lately I’ve been hearing a knocking noise (not sure what is the source, somewhere in the front driver side wheel well). It occurs every time I accelerate out of a stop.

I’ve noticed it doesn’t matter if I immediately hit the gas after releasing the brakes, or if I give it a second or two before hitting the brakes - same noise.

I don’t think it’s a major noise, but lately it has become constant and seems to get worse about every other week.

The only things I have checked are:

a - lug nuts are torqued to spec.

b - no tears in cv axle boot connected to wheel (axles are Honda Genuine, new from last summer.)

c - no play in the wheel when pushing lateral, and top down.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Check your front suspension for worn out parts.
