Hello I have a 2015 Volvo S 60 I just replaced my regular low beam bulbs to LED bulbs and it’s telling me that I have a low beam malfunction and also with the rear brake lights same issue. What can I do?
What can I do?
Put the stock lights back in.
I forgot about the brake lights, LED bulbs can freak out a car when used in brake lights. Just like the headlights, the resistance is much less in a LED bulb and can cause issues. They can even anger your cruise control into not working, had that happen on my old Scion XB. Again, check with the manufacturer to see if they have a solution for you.
What LED lights did you get?
Some cars require special tech for the led bulbs that will make it play nice with your car.
As I drive in all kinds of horrific weather, I upgraded mine on my GX470. They are much brighter and easier to see on blacktop at night in the rain. Some LED lights will cause issues like yours, mine do not, they work without issue. Can you check with the manufacturer to see if the ones you have are compatible?
Can you return them?
