Hi Scotty have a 01 Lexus is300 and i am experiencing a hesitation during acceleration.. I lose power when the pedal is all the way down then gradually gain it back I changed the coil packs, spark plugs, did a smoke test to see if everything is sealed and it is. My mechanics is suggesting that’s it’s the shift solenoid but I’m thinking it has something to do with fuel injectors or Throttle body.. I am thinking of changing the entire transmission as a last result because it’s much less expensive that way from the junk yard. What’s your thoughts on this, please help

Woah woah woah, slow down! Don’t change the transmission before diagnosing the problem correctly.
Change your fuel filter & pressure test the fuel pump.
Do you have trouble climbing inclines? Any trouble codes?

Change air filter and clean your MAR sensor to make sure you have good air flow. Good luck.
Hi my old c class did similer i found out the plugs where not the correct ones changed them worked fine

But what said makes Sense I will replace the fuel filter and do the pressure test and reach back at you for the results
