hey Scotty,
What's ur opinion on the Yamaha V10 engine in the Lexus LFA, do you think its one of the best sounding cars of all time?
It’s my favorite engine of all time and one of the best sounding as well. Of all the super cars out there, this one should hold up the best. Of course some of the parts are specially made so will cost a fortune to get them. But money no object, this would definitely be in my collection.
The LFA are rich men's toys, but it's for those who want something that won't break the bank as often as a Ferrari or Lambo. Personally, I would buy a GT-R since they are way more affordable, well built (made in Japan and the engines are hand-built by Japanese people that treat them like their child.), and very fast. I adore the 3.8 tt V6 in those it's among my favourite engines alongside the Yamaha V10. They also have excellent resale value, old models go for a lot of money still and stock r34's are collector's items.
I think somebody should develop a synthesizer that would play your selected throttle and RPM-appropriate engine noise over your car's sound system - that way, a Corolla owner could enjoy the sound of a Viper V10 engine on Monday, a Harley engine Tuesday, a F1 engine Wednesday ...
Could start with the bmw I8 lol, they use fake sounds on the back of the car with circular subs. I'm sure it would be easy enough lol
