LEXUS RX350 towing or not

After losing my low mileage Hyundai Tucson in an accident, with car prices so crazy....I paid off the loan on it and bought a 2008 Lexus RX350 with 164,000 miles with the left over money....No more car payment.  Couple questions....  Do I need to use Premium fuel?  I'm driving it home to Louisiana soon.  Is it ok to tow a 4'x8' Uhaul trailer?  Towing tips?  I took it to misc mechanic and had put on scan tool.  No codes of any kind.  Runs and drives like a dream.

What does it say in the owner's manual?

Just wondering if good idea to do so at age and mileage.

I wouldn't do it.

If your vehicle is rated for 3500#, I think it would be okay. I would make sure it had the transmission fluid changed at least once though, lexus records likely has it. Likely it is due again, and if it were me I would do it before towing.

The maximum weight of that trailer is 2500#, but you shouldn't push it.

Not the best vehicle to tow roughly 2000# with, but it could do it. Just make sure to go slow and steady, overdrive off.

As a side note, make sure the engine oil cooler line is not the partially rubber one. That one was defective and prone to rupturing, they had a recall but some were not done, it can destroy the engine. It was likely changed because it probably would have ruptured by now. They replaced it with a solid metal one.

Mine is FWD and does not seem to have towing package.  Manual rates it for light towing.  Just wondering if good idea to do so at age and mileage.
