Hey Scotty, I have a 99 Silverado with 176k miles, I replaced the brake calipers not too long ago and I also replaced the brake master cylinder. It was all working fine until after not driving it for a week , now the truck Pulls to the side when I brake, the same passenger side brake locks ....when I bought the truck it was doing the same thing, and I thought I fixed it but now it's the same exact front passenger side wheel that's doing it ,but this time it pulls harder to the side......what could the problem be?
what could the problem be?
It could be a defective caliper.
It could be a bad 26-year-old brake hose.
It could be a bad wheel bearing.
I would replace the brake hoses , I have a 77 silverado it done the same thing a few years back. I replace pads, rotors and it still done it. someone turned me onto the ideal that the brake line was collapsed and I replaced both sides that have rubber hoses and that fixed it... they would even lock up and be red hot after a 3 mile drive..it still runs btw with 428,432 miles on it rust and all....
