Is it a good thing to travel long distance in a pickup truck with cruise control?

It is not the destination but the journey. How you get there is just a part of the trip. The best trip I ever had was in a old 55Buick with a woman i loved. The worst trip was years later with the same woman and a then new Olds Vista Cruiser.

Cruise control is a tool. Like any tool, use it when appropriate.

It's fine as long as it doesn't dull the senses to the point where you're going to fall asleep at the wheel!
