Long term maintenance schedule

What is the maintenance schedule you all follow once a car is past the general owners manual schedule? Typically I’ve seen the last manufacturer recommended schedule end around 100-120k miles / 10 years. After 10 years, are you just doing oil changes on regular intervals and checking major things periodically or is there a better method to the madness to ensure good maintenance  is maintained to ensure longevity of car?

Keep in mind this is coming from someone who does not work on their own car and is entirely reliant on a local mechanic. My assumption would be to  just ask the mechanic but with a lot of less experienced people starting in shops around me, not sure I 100% trust them.

Just repeat the same maintenance intervals used previously.

Scotty has said (I don't have the video on hand) that cars need MORE maintenance as they age.
