I have heard rumors of the 1.5 turbo oil problem? Not sure about the 2.5 Toyota motor how dependable it is with all the electronics water pump etc ?

Well the new CRVs don't have that problem but realize all cars are getting insanely complex the Toyota has a crazy system that has direct injectors and Port injectors that work various ways with computers controlling them when those things finally do break it's not going to be any fun fixing them
Do you think a Crv will last as long as a Rav4 ? or another Brand mazda cx5 thanks

Well, pick your poison..
I’d say test drive them & shortlist 2. Then pick the most reliable one out of the 2.
Don’t forget the CX-5 may have cylinder deactivation which may adversely affect engine life.
