Looking To Buy 2021 Honda HR-V

Hi Scotty,

Love your YT channel. Shortly I am hoping to buy a 2021 Honda HR-V from a dealer. I have chosen this car bc it was similar to the features in my old 2009 Dodge Caliber SXT which lasted 14 1/2 years. I want the base model. It has an automatic 2.0L 4 cylinder engine, is naturally aspirated, has a timing chain, multi-port injection, I-VTEC, SOHC engine. It's a CVT transmission which I happen to really like.

I chose this particular car bc it has the least amount of useless tech stuff AND the least amount of features that can damage the engine. There is at least one recall on this particular year but I will check that out myself. Hoping to get one that is less than 80,000 kilometres.

I live in a rural community, so most of my driving will be highway. I am a 78 year old female so I have learned that putting the pedal to the metal eventually will hurt your pocketbook. I live in Canada and the car will not be garaged. I am looking to add a remote car starter bc at my age scraping the windshield and the windows when the temp is sub zero is no fun. I know it's hard on the engine but I figure if that's the only feature I add, compared to the features I have NOT added, I should be ok.

What say you , Scotty?

I'd say that's a pretty good choice. Honda next-grade vehicles. And I agree they put so much crap on cars these days. The smallest amount you can get is the best
